Solo Mode Dungeons & Raids

121 KB
39 KB

Solo Mode enables you to challenge Lost Ark’s main endgame content, raids, and dungeons, alone. We’re excited for the flexibility that this gives to players who want to practice raid mechanics before attempting them with a group, or those who were having difficulty navigating Party Finder. Solo Mode will support raids starting with the Valtan Legion Raid all the way to the Ivory Tower Abyssal Dungeon. Even though the gold amount will be less than normal raids, progression materials and gold will still be rewarded so that players won’t have too much trouble progressing alone. Solo Mode will also have special effects to help different class playstyles, and support classes, play on their own. However, once players pass a certain Item Level, they will not be able to receive gold or full progression material rewards from Solo Mode:

  • Valtan & Vykas Legion Raids - Item Level 1600

  • Kakul-Saydon Legion Raid - Item Level 1610

  • Brelshaza Legion Raid - Item Level 1620

  • Kayangel Abyssal Dungeon - Item Level 1640

Solo Mode will also have special effects to help different class playstyles, and support classes, play on their own.

  • Solo Mode is categorized as endgame content. It and shares the number of gold rewards and the number of free additional rewards viewed for the endgame content.

  • The content provided in Solo Mode shares the number of entries and gateway progress across Normal, Hard, and Solo difficulty levels for a raid. The level of difficulty at the time of clearing the first level of content in Solo Mode is also applied to subsequent gates.

    • For example, if you clear the first gate in Solo Mode, you cannot clear the remaining gates in Normal or Hard difficulty.

  • In Solo Mode, the “Scale of Fate” system is applied.

    • Scale of Fate is a system where you can receive support by selecting one of a variety of buffs to help in battle.

    • When playing Solo Mode, the Scale of Fate system will be applied in place of any Procyon's Protection or Starting Novice Adventurer buffs.

  • When entering single mode content for the first time, you can select a support buff.

    • The selected support buff will be applied during boss battles.

    • There are special buffs that are specific to certain raids or that can only be selected by specific classes.

    • A separate support buff is not applied when selecting the “This is me” buff, which drops a character right into the raid with no buff.

    • You can enter Solo Mode without selecting a support buff, and are able to change the selected support buff via the “Change” button at the top left of the game screen.

      • However, once the boss battle starts, the support buff cannot be changed.

      • After defeating a boss, you can change support buffs in the general combat zone and battle station at the next gate.

  • New Currency: Clear Medal

    • Regardless of the difficulty level, you can receive a “Clear Medal” when you clear the content that comes with a Solo Mode.

    • Clear Medals can be exchanged for various items through “Solo Mode Exchange” NPCs in large cities.

    • Major items that were previously exchangeable for special currencies from the Legion Raid Exchange NPC can now be exchanged through through the Solo Mode Exchange NPC. If you exchange an item with an existing tag that has a permanent acquisition limit, you cannot exchange it again through the Solo Mode Exchange NPC.

  • If you clear Solo Mode, the gold received is lower than normal difficulty. The full values are shared in the gold re-balancing section of the release notes. However, the other rewards are equal to those received in the Normal difficulty.

    • However, you cannot obtain honor rewards (like the Falling Horn of Indulgence from Brelshaza) or Sidereal Energies.

The Solo Modes for Kayangel, Akkan, and Ivory Tower of Chaos will release with a slight, western-specific balance nerf.

The special difficulties present for certain Legion Raids have been removed in favor of Solo Mode, which now allows players to practice the raid while still earning key progression rewards and gold.

Events

The Cool Retreat Update heralds the end of the previous batch of progression events with the previous Super Mokoko Express, Extra End Content Reward, Honing Event Mission, Endgame Acceleration, and Chaos Assault drawing to a close. The event also brings a new wave of events for players to ease the grind this summer as we head toward Tier 4. While we previously announced there would be a progression event to help endgame players, we decided to release a new Event Powerpass and updated Super Mokoko Express Event to help new or returning players prepare for Tier 4, or engaged players add a new class to their roster or boost a current alternate character.

Voldis Event Powerpass

An Event Powerpass that will drop players off in Voldis at Item Level 1520 will be granted to all players. Powerpasses can be claimed and used until September 25, at which point it will expire if the Powerpass has not been used.

The Event Powerpass delivery process has also been improved. Players will now receive Event Powerpasses in the server selection screen, and can use the Powerpass when creating a new character. Requirement information to receive the Event Powerpass is provided in the Powerpass selection menu.

Super Mokoko Express

Pairing well with the Voldis Powerpass, players will be able to designate one character between Item Level 1520 and 1600 on their account to participate in a new version of the Super Mokoko Express Event, where they’ll have discounted honing rates, discounted gold requirements, and earn honing materials to quickly level up to Item Level 1600 with reward chests that include silver, gold, Akkan Gear, honing materials, level 8 gems, engravings, and more! While the honing buffs end at 1600, additional chests up to Item Level 1620 will help your character power up with more honing materials, Elixirs, Transcendence materials, and even Advanced Honing Tempering materials. Honing Percentage Boost:

  • 1520 to 1580 - 100% (200% of base chance)

  • 1580 to 1600 - 50% (150% of base chance)

Honing Materials Discount:

  • 1520 to 1580 - 70%

  • 1580 to 1600 - 40%

Honing Leap Materials Discount:

  • 1520 to 1580 - 70%

  • 1580 to 1600 - 40%

Gold Discount:

  • 1520 to 1540 - No gold required

  • 1540 to 1580 - 70%

  • 1580 to 1600 - 40%

There are also Combat Style Setting Support options for players to easily set skills and engravings through presets, and get item support for accessories with relevant stats and Ability Stones. The Super Mokoko Express Event will last until September 25, and the character cannot change once the event target character has received the Honing Buff.

Extra Endgame Rewards Event

An updated version of the Extra Endgame Rewards Event arrives, built around rewarding players for clearing current endgame content and helping players prepare for Tier 4. The extra rewards will include Protection and Obliteration stones, Leapstones, and Honor Shards, corresponding to the Item Level of the activity. The extra rewards will be granted when clearing the following activities:

  • Kayangel Abyssal Dungeon Gate 3 (Hard Mode)

  • Akkan Legion Raid Gate 3 (Normal and Hard Mode)

  • Ivory Tower Abyssal Dungeon Gate 3 (Normal and Hard Mode)

  • Thaemine Legion Raid Gate 3 (Normal and Hard Mode)

  • Echidna Kazeros Raid Gate 2 (Normal and Hard Mode)

The extra rewards will be available to all characters on a player’s roster, no need to designate a character in this event. This event will last until September 25.

Maharaka Festival

The summertime Maharaka Festival returns with new activities! Celebrate the summer on the Maharaka Paradise Event Island, located east of Luterra in the Sea of Gienah. Players will be able to hit the pool and participate in an event race, transforming into a Pirate Mokoko to jump, headbutt, and dash their way through a swimming race before attempting to defeat a giant rubber duck. A race will be held every hour (participation is limited to once a day). Participants will choose which Pirate Mokoko they want to transform into. Finish the race and save Maharaka Paradise from the Duckaneers! Earn Mokoko Pirate Tokens and trade them for special items at the event shop. The Maharaka Event shop has an enormous cache of valuable rewards to help player progression, along with fun summer cosmetics, such as Trail Effects, Stronghold Structures, and Transformations. Head to the Maharaka Festival in game to see all the wonders that await you. And don’t worry, an event feast will also be included.

Daily Playtime Rewards

Daily Playtime Rewards return with some updated rewards. The event will run until September 25, and rewards players for the time they spend playing Lost Ark. Every 15 minutes of playtime will grant players with a gift of key progression materials, from silver, to honing materials, cards, event tokens, and now honing fusion materials, with the final daily grant being gifted at 90 minutes.

Update Gift

A gift will also be sent to all players alongside the update with key progression materials to help boost end-game progression! The gift includes:

  • Epic Elixir Supplies Chest x1

  • Legendary Elixir Supplies Chest x1

  • Wishful Amulet Chest x5

  • Hope Amulet Chest x5

  • Dark Fire Chest x1

  • Ancient Soundstone x15

General

  • New Fever Time events have been added.

  • A new Daily Log In Reward Track has been added.
